CITY CALLS REVOLUTION (Remaster 2023)

scaldingcoffee The reddest prog rock album since King Crimson's "Red". It's so red that it makes King Crimson's album seem blue in comparison. "CITY CALLS REVOLUTION" is not just redder, but heavier, lighter, faster, slower, louder, quieter, harder, softer, and more dramatic. That's my opinion, but here's a fact: while both of these albums were made by trios, Green Milk from the Planet Orange, as far as I can tell, didn't use any overdubs. Favorite track: CONCRETE CITY BREAKDOWN.

about

"City Calls Revolution" is the 2nd full album created by GREEN MILK FROM THE PLANET ORANGE in 2005. The lineup during its production consisted of dead k (Guitar/Vocal), A (Drums), and T (Bass, who was part of the band from 2003 to 2007 and later joined Acid Mothers Temple as Wolf). It was recorded and mixed by Paul Mahajan at the former Headgear Studio in Brooklyn, New York, in March 2005. Shortly thereafter, the original CD/Vinyl release was put out by Beta-lactam Ring Records located in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Although this work had long been out of print, it has been remastered by Takaaki Katsuyama in Tokyo, Japan, in 2023 and is being re-released as a high-quality digital version.

As of 2023, City Calls Revolution continues to be played live, featuring the iconic tracks Concrete City Breakdown and Demagog, as well as the band's 38-minute epic song A Day In The Planet Orange, summing up to a total of 4 tracks and 73 minutes that represent the progressive rock of the 2000s. With the renewed power of the remastered sound, we invite you to enjoy the album.
